The sudden passing of Mix FM radio announcer Michael Faga on Monday afternoon at the Lautoka Hospital at 55 years old has shocked the late-night radio listeners.
Mr Faga began his radio career in the 90s at the Koula FM radio station based at the Vatukoula Gold mines then on ZFM, in Lautoka. This station was then converted to Mix FM or Mai Mix. This is where he was affectionately known as the ‘Love Guru’ by those who listened to him from midnight to dawn, where he played old-time favourites
Mix FM Director Richard Lucas said the sudden passing of Mr Faga left a huge gap in the organisation as he was irreplaceable.
