Beware of drugs and the unseen war between technology, traditions and culture where innocent lives caught are in between.
Fiji Police Force director Planning, Policy, Research and Doctrines, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pauliasi Colamoto highlighted this while addressing Year 13 students of Moce Secondary School in Lau last week.
SSP Colamoto officiated at the graduation for the school's year 13 pioneering cohort - the first since the inception of the school in 2017.

SSP Colamoto commended the students and islanders for their commitments in striving for excellence amidst adversities often associated with maritime islandsbased schools.
"There is an unseen war between technology, tradition and culture and we are the innocent lives caught in between. The onus lies with us all, as we will need to reflect our identity through the positive use of technology," he said.
"Being in the maritime islands poses an opportunity for threats to come to our shores. Recently parcels of drugs were found on the shoreline on islands along the Lau Group.
"Students, and parents, let's work together to fight this virus that is victimising our young generation and taking away the bright future of Fiji. To Year 13 students, remember education is the foundation upon which you will build your future. It empowers you to make informed decisions and contribute positively to society.
''As you step into the next chapter of your lives, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and extend your diversity."
