TikToker Ana Masere has complained about a lack of mattresses and pillows at the remand centre, saying it affects her sleep. She also claimed the food was having a negative impact on her health.
The complaint was lodged through her lawyer at the Nadi Magistrate Court yesterday before Magistrate Talei Kean.
Masere, 40, is charged with allegedly posting a video on her TikTok account containing derogatory comments about another woman.

She faces two counts of causing harm by posting electronic communication under the Online Safety Act, and two counts of insulting or annoying any person under the Crimes Act. Masere pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
She is represented by Amrit Chand, while the prosecution is led by Sergeant Vishal Sharan. Sergeant Sharan filed new charges and sought to amend the existing ones, but Mr Chand objected.
Mr Chand told the court that Masere operates several businesses in the Western Division and Vanua Levu, which require her attention.
“We are humbly asking this court to grant her bail,” he said.
Magistrate Kean gave the prosecution seven days to file and amend the charges.
Masere will remain in remand and has been ordered to be transferred to the Natabua Remand Centre. The case has been adjourned to October 8.
