The founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, Diwan Chand Maharaj, was a “true friend to many” and a “dedicated professional” in the printing industry.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka shared this tribute as he paid his respects to Mr Maharaj at his funeral service Dignified crematorium yesterday.

The business pioneer established the printery in 1982, and his venture spanned over four decades.

His company became a leading name in the local printing sector, earning a reputation for excellence and innovation.

Mr Maharaj’s passing marks the end of an era for Quality Print, a company that played a pivotal role in shaping Fiji’s printing industry and supporting countless local businesses.

“He also played a pivotal role in establishing the Kidney Foundation of Fiji.

“Beyond his business ventures, Diwan was a committed community leader, he actively participated in numerous charitable organisations, served in the Rotary Club since 1990, and held the position of national president of the Sanatan Dhar-am Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.

“Moce to’a mada Diwan, may your soul rest in peace.”

Mr Rabuka said Mr Maharaj dwelled on a virtue of love and friendship which is a value worth noting.
