The soft spoken 28-year-old was one of the 449 students of the University of Fiji who graduated on Friday.

Ms Moli is originally from Efate Island in Vanuatu.
“Today was an emotional day. I feel happy and sad at the same time because it has been a long journey,” she said.
“These years have been life changing and challenging so today it was an overwhelming day for me and my parents.
“When I was a kid, I was always asked what’s my ambition, so my ambition was to become a doctor, I have always dreamed of this and my goal to help people has always driven me.”
Ms Moli aspires to become a paediatric surgeon, a specialist field, she said, lacked in Vanuatu.
“The medicine field in Fiji has helped us to learn so that we can return to Vanuatu and serve our country to the best of our ability.”
Ms Moli is returning to her country to undertake a two-year internship before serving in their division hospital.
She faced her fair share of challenges along the course of her studies.
“I had failed one of my courses, but I had to come back for one year.
So, those six years had their ups and downs, sleepless nights,” she said.
“We had to engage in assignments, do practical, wake up in the morning to go the hospital and back.
But it was enjoyable because we learned more from the medical staff.
“I would say the challenges pushed me to grow more, becoming the person that I am today and also I’m serving a living God who helped push me through.”
Her proud father, Jerry Moli, said his daughter would be the first doctor in their family.
“I’m very happy and very emotional seeing my daughter achieve a programme such as MBBS, and this is very good for our family,” he said.
