More heavy rain expected for Navua, Suva and Nausori

A trough of low is expected to mostly affect the eastern parts of the country.

That has been confirmed by the weather forecasters at the Fiji Meteorological Service Office in Nadi yesterday.

The heavy rain warning alert specifies places in the Fiji group which will be affected throughout the week.

Fiji MET stated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas for Navua, Suva and Nausori. It comes with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms.

The outlook for Thursday, there will be occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms. These heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying areas for Nadi, Lautoka and Ba with cloudy periods with showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or evening.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas. For Labasa, occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms were expected till Friday.
