More Than $42m Paid By ACCF
The ACCF chief executive officer Parvez Akbar informed the Board that from the applications received, speeding continues to be the number one cause of fatalities from motor vehicle accidents, followed by dangerous driving and pedestrian negligence.

The Accident Compensation Commission of Fiji (ACCF) held its first Board meeting last Friday.
As part of Management’s update, the Board was informed of the progress made by ACCF since the last Board meeting.
The ACCF Board noted that a total of $42,734,000 in compensation has been paid under the no fault scheme since January 1, 2018, of which $29,207,000 was for motor vehicle accidents, $12,595,500 for employment accidents and $931,500 for school accidents.
