Mosese Tuimatai Wins Baton of Honour

One must live with discipline, which will be beneficial in the long run, said Ratu Sukuna Memorial School’s Baton of Honour recipient, Mosese Tuimatai.
He said he lived by a lesson his father taught him since young.
The 18-year-old is from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu.

Mosese was surprised when called to receive the award.
He is the first in his family to reach Year 13.
“It is important for us as children to listen to our parents,” he said.
“The cadet training programme teaches us self-discipline. It is one way for students to learn discipline, which often benefits us in the long run. I thank the teachers for allowing the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces to train us. They instilled discipline that helps students.”
Mosese aspires to be a marine engineer.
“I thank God for making it possible for me to reach this point. My family has been my biggest supporter, and I am grateful to each one of them,” Mosese said.
“I did not expect to be the recipient of the Baton of Honour, so receiving it makes me both happy and grateful.”
