Assistance Background
In the 2022-2023 National Budget announcement, the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, said families earning a combined $50,000 or less are eligible to apply, including civil servants.
The assistance is based on the number of children in each household.
This applies to all children, from newborns to those in Year 13. Approximately $38 million was set aside for this phase.
