Marist Brothers Primary School welcomed their new student leaders during their official Prefects Induction ceremony yesterday.

Leading the students and prefects is head boy Joseph Brandon Mow.

Originally from Natovi, Tailevu, the 13-year old currently resides with his parents in Tacirua Heights.

“I am happy and thankful to the Lord for giving me this opportunity,” he said.

“My mother is the inspiration behind this because she was the one encouraging me to take up new challenges.”

The eldest of three siblings, Joseph aspires to be a surgeon one day.

He said he enjoys helping people and that has become his passion over the years.

“This role will be challenging no doubt but I am prepared to fulfil my duties to the best of my abilities,” he added.

Assisting him are his deputies Daniel Damuni and Josaia Rinakama.
