Naina Masivou, a mother trying to make ends meet, is calling on the Government to take a closer look at the daily struggles faced by ordinary Fijians.
With the rising cost of living, she says many families are forced to choose between basic food items.
“Government can look at the condition of life we go through every day. What we earn at the end of the week doesn’t meet with what we spend on family groceries every day,” Ms Masivou shared.

For Ms Masivou, even simple joys like buying a treat for her children have become difficult. She says grocery prices are rising faster than incomes, leaving families stretched thin.
“Prime Minister, please, we also want to live a happy life,” she pleaded, hoping her voice reaches Government leaders.
Like many others across the country, Ms Masivou wants to see price control measures and more support for low-income families. For her, even a small change in government policy could ease the heavy burden so many households now carry.
