MSAF Former Acting CEO Philip Hill Dies Aged 58
He will be accorded a sea burial after his funeral service in Navua.

The former acting chief executive officer of the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF), Captain Philip Hill, died on March 12 aged 58, after suffering from a short illness.
His funeral service is expected to take place on Tuesday, March 17 at the INC Garden of Joy Church, Navua, followed by a sea burial at the Suva Harbour.
During his tenure as the acting CEO, the late Mr Hill led the charge to improving the standards of sea transport providers, amendment to the Maritime Safety Acts in Fiji, and improve survey and safety procedure.

His leadership saw to the salvaging works of MV Southern Phoenix in the Suva Harbour last year.
The late Mr Hill is survived by his wife Buna and four children – Eugene, Emma, Matthew and Thomas.
