Mumbai Surgeons To Conduct Open Heart Surgeries At Children’s Heart Hospital

A 17-member team from Mum­bai, India, is in the country to conduct open heart sur­geries at the Sai Sanjeevani Chil­dren’s Heart Hospital at Muani­kau, Suva.

A 17-member team from Mum­bai, India, is in the country to conduct open heart sur­geries at the Sai Sanjeevani Chil­dren’s Heart Hospital at Muani­kau, Suva.

Hospital manager Pratin Lal said 25 children would be operated on starting from Sunday, January 21.

Mr Lal said since the hospital be­gan operating last April, specialists from visiting teams had operated on 81 children.

“This is the fourth team of sur­geons that have arrived to conduct operations at the new hospital,” he said.

“The admissions start on Satur­day and operations start from Sun­day.”

Mr Lal said the team was from the Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Mum­bai.
