The High Court in Lautoka will set the date of a pretrial conference hearing in the case of a Nawaka, Nadi taxi driver charged with one count each of murder, arson and criminal intimidation next month.
Safil Ali, 42, allegedly murdered Suman Lata and locked her inside her home in Tomuka, Lautoka, on July 25, 2022 before setting the house on fire.
He is also alleged to have threatened Kritesh Nand and Rohit Retish with a cane knife and with words intended to cause alarm on the same day.
