Nadi Home Owner Pleads For Thorough Investigation

Nadi businessman, Arvind Chand Sharma, has urged National Fire Authority and Fiji Police to thoroughly investigate the cause of fire at his property.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the fire damaged the two-bedroom house at Tadra Road, Savalau, in Nadi on Wednesday.
“The house was vacant at the time of the incident. The cost of damage and cause of fire are yet to be ascertained,” she said.

Mr Sharma claimed the fire started around 3.46am after their neighbour alerted them of the situation.
“Two fire trucks were present within 20 minutes to put out the fire, but it was too late to contain it,” said Mr Sharma.
Meanwhile, Mrs Naisoro added that a joint investigation with the National Fire Authority is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
