Nadi Hospital Receives $25K Worth Of Equipment

Nadi-based company, Yees Cold Storage Seafood Limited, handed over $25,000 worth of hospital equipment and supplies to the Nadi Hospital last Thursday as part of its community initiative.

The donation included four hospital beds, 23 hospital vital sign monitors, six wheelchairs, eight hospital walkers and 60 theatre and children’s gowns, given by Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.

Yees Cold Storage was assisted by insourcing Neptune Shipping to have the equipment and supplies brought to Fiji.

Company director Doreen Yee said: “We hope to continue to be able to assist Fiji communities with these donations and look forward to working with the hospitals and to identify other communities that are in need of these supplies.”

She thanked PA Hospital, Neptune Shipping, C T Freight and members of the Kenani Uniting Church in Brisbane for their continued support, donation and generosity.

Sub Divisional Medical Officer Nadi, Dr Abdul Shah acknowledged the donation and thanked Yees Cold Storage for assisting their medical services.
