The upgrade of the Nadi Hospital women’s washroom symbolises hope and compassion, says Mohammed Israr Khan.
The Nadi Hospital board of visitors trust chairman said this on Monday during the opening of the renovated washroom.
Radisson Blu Resort funded the upgrading project to a tune of $45, 000.

“We celebrate, not just the completion of a project, but a shared commitment to saving lives and improving health for our community,” Mr Khan said.
“The Renovation of the Women’s Washrooms Project represents more than just a renovation, it symbolises hope, compassion, and a profound impact on our hospital patients and the whole of Nadi. The impact of your generosity will be felt far and wide.”
Mr Khan said the facility would serve more than 20,000 patients from a population of 70,000.
“You have not just contributed to infrastructure, you have helped save lives and offered comfort to families in their most vulnerable moments.
“Thank you once again for your trust, your belief in our mission, and your unwavering support. Together, we have built not just a project but a legacy of care and compassion.”
The resort also provided 21 beds to the hospital.
Resort manager Peter Ehrenbrandtner said the resort fulfilled its social responsibility by reaching needy communities in their society through its Community Outreach Programme namely the ‘Adopt a School’ initiative.
“We have been a lot for the communities. It has been a special pleasure to make an impact on the hospital.
“This project is special to our hearts,” Mr Ehrenbrandtner added.
