Nadi Man Found Dead On Farm

A family at Vuniyasi in Nadi is still trying to come to term with the death of their father, Jagdish Mangal.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the 64-year-old was reported missing by his family early yesterday morning.
His body was found motionless in a cassava farm close to where he resided.

The deceased is an advisory councillor of Malakua, Vuniyasi and Mate area.
His eldest son, Pranilesh Chandra, said his father left home around 7pm on Sunday without informing his family members.
“After 10pm when he didn’t returned home, my mother was worried so we started looking for him," Mr Chandra said.
“We went out with other family members to search for him until 2am this morning (yesterday) but couldn’t find him.
“Then we reported it to the Police.
“We were shocked to hear about his death.
“This is the most painful experience that ever happens to us,” he emotionally said.
He added that his father was loved by everyone around their community.
“He is a family man and loves serving his community.”
Mr Chandra said they were waiting post-mortem examination results.
