A Nadi practitioner is providing free ultrasound scan services for the unemployed people and those who are working on reduced-hours.
This became available starting last week at the Dr Ashank Naidu’s Nadi Town Medical Centre located at Lot 3 Sagayam Road.
“We all know times are hard for the people and this is one way we would like to give back to the people of Fiji,” he said.

He said that this initiative was for an indefinite period of time and changes would be made relative to changes in the ongoing pandemic and global economy.
He added that they were already taking bookings for those who wished to have a scan done and based on their analysis, at present time they could cater for only 20 people per day.
“The Ultrasound Scans on offer mostly involve the Abdomen. Priority will be given to Emergency and AnteNatal Patients (Pregnant Ladies). We hope to be able to offer free scans on more days of the week apart from Saturday,” he said.
Their clinic gates open around 8am and the clinic starts from after 9am.
