Naitasiri Farmer Charged With Murder To Appear In Court

The 34 year old farmer of Nasoqo in Naitasiri has been charged with one count of murder for allegedly causing the death of his 34 year old wife after stabbing her several times at her workplace at the weekend.

A 34 year old farmer of Nasoqo in Naitasiri has been charged with one count of murder for allegedly causing the death of his 34 year old wife after stabbing her several times at her workplace in the weekend.

The accused will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today.

The suspect allegedly stabbed his wife, Amelia Mafi several times after she refused to talk to him.

She was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva where she later died.

Ms Mafi was employed at the Total Headquarters office in Walu Bay.

The Fiji Police held the Naitasiri farmer earlier in custody at the Totogo Police Station awaiting investigations and post mortem results.
