Naitasiri South Constituency Rallies For Release Of Qaranivalu
The Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) Naitasiri South Constituency has requested the party to raise with the Coalition Government the release of the Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, under the Mercy Commission.

The Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) Naitasiri South Constituency has requested the party to raise with the Coalition Government the release of the Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, under the Mercy Commission.
The issue of Ratu Inoke’s release was raised During the SODELPA management board meeting on Friday.
In 2011, the High Court sentenced Ratu Inoke to life imprisonment after finding the Naitasiri chief guilty of one count of inciting to mutiny.
Related stories
Ratu Inoke was not eligible for parole after eight years, which he had to serve concurrently with his existing sentence of seven years for the conspiracy to murder case.
