Namaka Public School Alumni Raises Over $110,000

The Namaka Public School Ex-Scholars Association has successfully assisted the school in paying off a project loan.
The association concluded its three-day festival last Saturday which coincided with the 60th anniversary of the institution.
Various classes including members of the pioneer class of 1962 were able to raise $110,158.95.

Head teacher Arvind Kumar said the board and management were overwhelmed by the support rendered by the alumni, especially the pioneers.
“We have managed to collect $110,158. 95 and all the credit goes to all the old scholars for their support,” he said.
“On behalf of the management board, the current parents, students, and of course, all those who are involved with the school, we want to thank them for their contribution."

NPS Ex-Scholars Association president Joeli Lotawa said there were more than 40 classes present at the school ground to give back as former students.
During the NPS Ex-Scholars Association annual general meeting the office bearers appointed were president - Joeli Nasa Lotawa, vice president ; Tevita Vatu and Kalivati Ratucicivi, treasurer; Akisi Tamanisau, assist treasurer; Epineri Susu, secretary ; Pirisila Talatoka Raivoka, assistant secretary - Disele Draciri.
