Naqia Carpenter Receives Tools To Ply His Trade

Mr Nacola thanked the ministry and the Government for understanding and looking after the welfare of youths and for always lending support

Sanaila Nacola of Tailevu was among youth club representatives and individuals who received assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Thursday.

He was given carpentry tools worth $1560.41 at the ministry headquarters in Nasoqo House, Suva.

The 30-year-old sole trader was a trainee graduate from Yavitu Training Centre in Kadavu in 2016.

Having graduated last year he is now engaged as a carpenter at his Naqia Village in Tailevu.

Mr Nacola was thankful for the assistance saying “this is a blessing”.

“I know I will make good use of it. This will be to help support my family.”

He will continue to look for contracts where he can use his skills in carpenter general class three and block laying.

Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou described the Naqia native as a hardworking individual.

Mr Tuitubou said Nacola was given a set of carpentry tools from Vinod Patel on his graduation day last year for his outstanding results.

Mr Nacola thanked the ministry and the Government for understanding and looking after the welfare of youths and for always lending support.

“I will not stop here. My long term aim is to ply my trade in companies overseas,” he said

For the moment Mr Nacola is engaged in the construction of the Naqia Village kindergarten building.
