Natabua High School Tops Nation in Y12 Exam Result

After high school, Kia Pandya aspires to pursue studies in bio-chemical or biomedical engineering at an institution in Australia.
The Natabua High School student chalked up a total of 394 marks out of 400, which is the highest in the nation for the 2023 Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination.
The 18-year-old, who is from Vadodara, Baroda, and Gujerat in India, expressed surprise and happiness over her performance.

Thankful to God for the wisdom and knowledge to attain excellent results, she is also grateful to her parents, who are her first teachers, her subject teachers, as well as family and friends who supported her throughout the year.

In Year 13, she looks forward to balancing her studies with taking on whatever responsibilities are entrusted to her and participating in academic-related extracurricular activities.
The plan is to apply for the AusAid Scholarship and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Scholarship to fulfil her career pathway.
Her father, Pundit Sapan Pandya, said as parents, they were amazed at her achievements and were proud of their daughter.
“We attribute Kia’s success to God’s provision, her hard work, and the support rendered by her teachers,” he said.
“We simply overjoyed with the news that she also scored the highest mark in the nation.”
Principal Virendra Sharma acknowledged the support rendered by Kia’s parents for their daughter’s outstanding achievement.
