Mariners and shipping operators can now resume normal operations at Natovi Jetty following the successful completion of hazard removal works.

In a Marine Notice issued last night, the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) confirmed that all identified hazards at the jetty have been removed, allowing normal berthing operations to recommence with immediate effect.

The authority also announced that Marine Notices 09/2026 and 10/2026, which were issued during the period of restricted operations, have now been revoked.

MSAF Acting Chief Executive Officer Sereana Lalakobau said the completion of the works marks the restoration of normal maritime activities at the key transport hub.

MSAF has advised mariners and vessel operators to take note of the updated operational status and continue to observe standard maritime safety requirements while using the facility.

Natovi Jetty serves as a vital maritime link between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, handling passenger and cargo vessel movements daily.
