NDMO to Conduct Live Tsunami Siren Test Next Monday
All 13 sirens installed along the Suva foreshore have an acoustic range of 1.2kms.

Members of the public are advised that a live tsunami siren test will be activated on Monday, February 5, 2023.
The National Disaster Management Office will be conducting this siren test for the Suva-Lami corridor at 11am.
This exercise is part of Government's continued commitment towards improving its state of readiness for any tsunami event.

The NDMO added that the purpose of the exercise is to also test the functuality of all the 13 sirens.
No evacution is required during the tsunami siren test.
