The Health Ministry must make sure it has a system in place to have enough health workers available for duty at any time.
This was highlighted by World Health Organisation WHO representative for the South Pacific Dr Mark Jacobs during the 14th Pacific Heads of Health meeting at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort yesterday.
The purpose of the 14th Pacific Heads of Health meeting (PHoH) is to discuss key health areas such as health governance, health information and digital health, human resources for health, health care financing, non-communicable diseases, universal health coverage and primary health, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health.
