New School Building For Saint Anne's Primary School
Saint Anne’s Primary School has received the grant worth FJ$235,538 for the construction of a 2 classroom block with an 8 pan ablution facility. The school will also receive 50 sets of student desks and chairs and 2 teachers’ desk and chairs.

Mr MIZUTANI Masataka, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, and colleagues joined the ground breaking ceremony today at Saint Anne's Primary School in Suva.
This was officiated by Fr Cecil Williams, Saint Anne’s Primary School, for the construction of new school building funded by the Government of Japan under the Grass-roots Human Security Program.

(1) Saint Anne’s Primary School has received the grant worth FJ$235,538 for the construction of a 2 classroom block with an 8 pan ablution facility. The school will also receive 50 sets of student desks and chairs and 2 teachers’ desk and chairs.
(2) The project was formalised last year, 10 December 2019 between Ambassador of Japan and Head teacher.
Through the project, the school will be able to have the cyclone-resilient school building and address the challenge such as too much pressure on school recourses placed by increasing enrollments.
The government of Japan continues to reaffirm its long standing support of Fiji’s education sector.
The construction is expected to be completed within six months.
