New Unit to Probe Cold and Complex Cases

Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu has confirmed the formation of a new unit within the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate cold and complex cases.
The unit was proposed by Mr Tudravu during his first press conference in his new office when appointed COMPOL in February.
As of yesterday, Mr Tudravu confirmed they were looking for retired or former officers with a minimum of 15 years of service as detectives at the CID to assist them in solving complex cases.

Despite that, he said work was already underway with unsolved cases being reviewed.
