A southeast wind flow is expected over the Fiji group on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st December.
This will bring cloudy periods and some showers over the southern, interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu namely Serua-Namosi-Navua-Suva-Nausori-Naitasiri-Tailevu-eastern Ra areas.
This weather will also affect Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Cakaudrove, eastern Macuata and southern Bua provinces.

Fine weather can be expected over the rest of the Fiji Group with isolated afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.

On New Year’s Day, a trough of low pressure is likely to bring occasional showers over the Northern Division, the interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Isolated heavy falls highly likely in these areas.
Mostly fine, sunny weather can be expected over the rest of the Fiji Group. However, there is possibility of isolated showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening.
Maximum temperatures expected to be 33oC around major centers over the country this New Year’s weekend.
