Foreign governments have wasted no time in pledging their support to assist the Government post-Tropical Cyclone Harold
New Zealand
- $200,000 in emergency funds to help address immediate needs.
- Royal New Zealand Air Force P31 Orion tasked to conduct aerial surveillance of affected areas on Thursday.

New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, Jonathan Curr, said: “Once this phase is over and we have more information about the impact of the cyclone we will begin discussions on how best we can support Fiji’s recovery from the damage inflicted by TC Harold.
“We will be with Fiji every step of the way,” he said.
Australia
- Initial contribution of $350,000 to support Government in recovery efforts
Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes, said: “As we enter the Easter weekend be assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers, especially those Fijians affected by Harold. I take my hat off to all of those responding to Harold.”
