Newborn Baby Found Dead In Nadawa

A family returning from a fishing trip were astounded when they found the body of an infant floating motionless near a small bridge that leads to the Nadawa Settlement.
Sainimili Suvewa, a resident of Veiraisi Settlement, who found the infant, said they left around 8am yesterday to go out fishing, accompanied by her son and sister-in-law.
“Upon returning from our fishing trip we stopped the boat because I wanted to pull the plastic that was stuck near the mangrove swamp, but to my surprise, the baby just floated out,” Ms Suvewa said.
