NFP To Fill 51 Candidates For General Election

The National Federation Party (NFP) has confirmed that the Party will field 51 candidates for the 2018 General Election.

This was confirmed by party leader Biman Prasad after announcing the additional 10 provisional candidates bringing the total to 40 provisional candidates to date at a press conference yesterday.

Mr Prasad said the candidates announced so far were of high calibre and were prepared to be part of the NFP government.

“The NFP is proud of its provisional line-up so far. These are men and women of credibility who have set out to serve our beloved Fiji and put national interest above everything else.

“They will help NFP bring about the much needed change that Fiji needs. And there is no doubt that change is coming and change is inevitable because the policies of the NFP enhance the social, economic and political advancement of all our people.

“We have and will campaign on issues.”

The ten provisional candidates are:

Member of Parliament Parmod Chand,

Party Vice President Leba Seni Nabou

Riddhi Bhavsar

Jiosefa Gavidi

Priyanka Ram

Savneel Sangeet

Apenisa Vatuniveivuke

Herbert Pickering

Tuinadave Radogo and

Leslie Tikotikoca- the youngest son of former Police Commissioner Romanu Tikotikoca who was a provisional candidate for NFP but withdrew from the Party amid allegations of rape.

Leslie is a social worker and an advocate for the Fiji Disabled People’s Federation.
