Nightclubs To Close At 1am

There is no joy in finding out that people are being as­saulted and killed during night out in the nightclubs.

There is no joy in finding out that people are being as­saulted and killed during night out in the nightclubs.

This was the statement by Attor­ney-General Siromi Turaga while moving that parliament approve the Liquor Bill Amendment 2023.

The approved amendment indi­cates that special zones that exist­ed under the Liquor Bill Act 2006, that is, Suva and Nadi be removed and nightclubs in these zones would now operate from 5pm to 1am.

The Bill was passed in parlia­ment on Friday.
