There is no joy in finding out that people are being assaulted and killed during night out in the nightclubs.
This was the statement by Attorney-General Siromi Turaga while moving that parliament approve the Liquor Bill Amendment 2023.
The approved amendment indicates that special zones that existed under the Liquor Bill Act 2006, that is, Suva and Nadi be removed and nightclubs in these zones would now operate from 5pm to 1am.
