No drugs have been found on an alleged abandoned yacht discovered in the waters of Cakaudrove, Police have confirmed.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wame Bautolu said investigations had not uncovered any illicit substances on board the vessel.
The yacht, identified as S’boro of Karasu, was discovered floating in the Ucunipotu waters on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

It was towed and safely anchored at the Yasawa Village foreshore by a villager before the matter was reported to authorities.
A joint operation team involving the Fiji Police Force, Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS), the Yasawa Village headman and local divers conducted assessments on the vessel.
Further assessment results are expected.
