No Liaison Officer For PALM Scheme Disturbing: Agni Deo Singh

Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Agni Deo Singh said it was disturbing to learn that there was no liaison officer who facilitated assistance to the workers under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme.

While delivering his ministerial statement in Parliament yesterday, Mr Singh highlighted that it was important for the scheme to have a liaison officer as they would aid workers to address their grievances.

“It was quite disturbing to know that despite the Australian government approving the funds in 2021, there’s no liaison officer there,” Mr Singh said.
