NO LOCKDOWN FOR SUVA THIS WEEKEND

-Dr James Fong -

Posted by Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji on Thursday, 6 May 2021

Last week Suva went into lockdown at 8pm Friday to 4am Monday.

Suva residents expected the same this weekend and were out early to stock up.

Long lines were observed at all supermarkets in the capital.

Yesterday Dr Fong had announced 4 new COVID-19 cases.

One of four is a 47-year-old nurse at the Raiwaqa Health Centre.

After her positive result registered today, we immediately closed the Raiwaqa Health Centre to the public.

Her 51-year-old husband also tested positive for COVID-19.
