Police have not charged any individual for their involvement in the setting up of the Ebay Shop Online Recruitment scam where thousands of Fijians allegedly lost more than $3 million last year.

Last November, the online Anti- Scam Taskforce set-up to monitor and address online scams and also work towards legislative reviews, recorded that 1859 complaints were lodged against the EBay scam as of last October.

This was believed to have been valued around $3.1m.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Crime Mesaka Waqa said investigations on the matter continued.

Many people had been questioned and released about the scam, he said.
