A road slip on Vatamai Road number eight in 2022 that has yet to be rebuilt is keeping Mohammed Shaheel and- Vatamai residents in Lovu, Lautoka

upset and anxious.

They have called for a permanent solution so that life can be more convenient, but all pleas for assistance so far have been in vain.

Vatamai Road number eight is about two kilometres and is a 15-minute drive from the Queens Rd.

About 12 families, including school children and working people who live there, have been affected by this.

They have had to use another resident’s compound for a vehicle to pass through, but it is located near the edge of the road slip and there is a safety risk.

“We have had to take extra precautions. Since this landslip in 2022 no permanent solution has been found by relevant authorities,” he said.

“We request that the government rebuild the road so that we have a permanent solution because we have to park our vehicles at the top and then walk down about 250 metres down to our homes,” he said.

Questions were also sent to FSC Bhan regarding this issue.
