Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete says there have not been any pregnancy complications for mothers and newborn babies due to COVID-19 in hospitals lately.
“What we actually have at the moment are women coming into the hospital for their primary condition and they are treated for their primary conditions and if they have COVID-19 symptoms we carry out the tests just to be safe,” he said.
“When they test positive, we go forth from there with our procedures in place.”
