Close to 40 participants from the Suva-Nausori corridor attended the consultations to express their views on the proposal to bring back municipal council elections and the review of municipal council retirement age from 55 to 60.

The Ministry of Local Government has been urged not to make public consultations about ticking the boxes.
This was after a number of concerns were raised to the director Local Government Bindula Devi at the first round of Municipal Council Elections public consultations at the Suva Civic Centre yesterday.
Close to 40 participants from the Suva-Nausori corridor attended the consultations to express their views on the proposal to bring back municipal council elections and the review of municipal council retirement age from 55 to 60.
