Nurse Appears In Court For Alleged Assault Of Husband

It is alleged that the staff nurse hit her husband with a plastic bottle after a family dispute on March 16 in Lautoka.

A staff nurse appeared in the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday for allegedly assaulting her husband.

She is charged with common assault and appeared before magistrate Nayani Kasturiratne.

No plea was taken.

Sergeant Theodore Lew appeared for Police prosecution.

It is alleged that the staff nurse hit her husband with a plastic bottle after a family dispute on March 16 in Lautoka.

She was released on a $500 bail and the court also issued a Domestic Violence Restraining Order against her.

The staff nurse will appear in court again on June 24.
