Nylah Zaheer Khan’s exceptional academic journey reached new heights after being awarded the Dux prize for 2023 at Andrews Primary School in Nadi.
She scored the highest overall marks in the Fiji Year Eight Examination in her school, with top scores in English, Maths, and Urdu.
From Years 1 to 8, Nylah consistently held the first position in all her examinations.

Beyond her academic achievements, Nylah’s leadership journey has been nothing short of impressive having served as the class prefect from Years 2 to 6 and School Prefect in Year 7, showcasing early signs of her ability to lead and inspire.
The pinnacle of Nylah’s leadership journey came in 2023 appointed as head girl of Andrews Primary School 2023 which not only recognised her academic prowess but also highlighted her exceptional leadership qualities and commitment.
“I am incredibly proud of Nylah’s accomplishments,” Mr Khan said.
“Her commitment to her studies and leadership qualities has truly shone through.
“This is a well-deserved recognition, and I am excited to see what the future holds for her, especially knowing her ambitions are of an entrepreneurial nature.”
Nylah attributed her success to prayers, dedication and maintaining a positive mindset.
Her versatility extends beyond academics, enthusiastically participating in extra-curricular activities, including public speaking.
The school congratulated her on her well-deserved achievement and was looking forward to witnessing her continued success in the future.
