The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution has filed an appeal case against the suspended sentence given to Kishore Kumar by the Suva Magistrate’s Court.
Kumar was given a suspended sentence for two of his cases, both involved his unauthorised access to computer systems and causing harm by posting an electronic communication.
The first case involved online bullying of Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lenora Qereqeretabua while the other case involved former Minister for Sugar Industry, Agni Deo Singh.

Kumar was given a one year sentence suspended for three years with recommendations of getting psychiatric check up at the Saint Giles hospital.
ODPP filed the appeal last month and are awaiting a date for its first call.
ODPP filed a nolle prosquie for his third case following a careful review of the evidence and the psychiatric evaluation report.
As of now, Kumar is a free man.
