Open Day Inspires Ana To Join FNU
Ana Delai says her tour to the Fiji National University (FNU) Namaka Campus in Nadi last year inspired her to join the university.

Ana Delai says her tour to the Fiji National University (FNU) Namaka Campus in Nadi last year inspired her to join the university.
She said while touring the university last year during the open day, it made her realise that FNU was the place for her.
“I chose FNU because when I came for the open day I was impressed with the information relayed to me,” she said.

“I want to be in the tourism industry.”
The former Swami Vivekananda College (SVC) student said her involvement in the tourism industry came from her father, who is also employed in the tourism industry on Denarau Island, Nadi.
“My father also works in the tourism industry and has inspired me to join this profession,” she said.
“Also since I live in Nadi this is known as one of the main towns in Fiji where tourists are mostly located, so that’s another reason for wanting to pursue my studies in the tourism industry.”
Another former SVC student, Seremaia Vasu, 19 said his interest in studies was also involved in the tourism industry.
“I want to work on Laucala Island,” he said.
He said having his parents support was also a motivation for him to pursue his studies in tourism and hotel management.
The 19-year-old advises all year 13 students to study hard as the final year at secondary level is always a challenging one.
