Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu, on Friday, called for the immediate release of the full Commission of Inquiry Report, accusing Government of undermining public trust by withholding critical information.
“Transparency forms the bedrock of our democratic system and every Fijian citizen deserves complete access to the facts that shape governance,” he said.
“Withholding such a report not only undermines public trust, but also obstructs our national progress towards informed accountability.”

His demand comes as Government prepares to introduce the Code of Conduct Bill and the Transparency Bill, which Mr Seruiratu described as “a pivotal moment” for the administration to prove its commitment to openness is genuine.
Mr Seruiratu said the release of the COI report would demonstrate that forthcoming reforms would be built on accountability rather than “mere rhetoric” about transparency.
“I urge Government to act decisively and place the COI Report in the public domain without further delay,” he said.
Mr Seruiratu said such action would reaffirm Fiji’s collective commitment to “a transparent, accountable, and democratic future.”
