Leader of the Opposition, Inia Seruiratu is preparing to submit his proposal for the 2023-2024 National Budget.

During his recent three-day visit to the Northern Division, Mr Seruiratu listened to the needs of communities and assessed the impact of services on their lives.

His tour included visits to business people, farming areas, Government agencies, villages, communities, Fiji Sugar Corporation, Fiji Rice Pte Limited, and sugarcane farmers preparing for the upcoming crushing season.

“One of the purposes of my visit is to follow up on the projects and hear from the people as we prepare for the 2023-2024 national budget,” Mr Seruiratu said.

“Some of the things that the people are asking about are taxation and what would happen to low income earners. I am also aware that the Labasa mill is preparing for the crushing season.”
