Overdue Aircraft: Search And Rescue Flight Activated
The favourable weather condition this morning allowed the flight teams to be deployed. Fiji Police teams, emergency services and villagers along the projected flight path have been alerted

Planning work at the Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre last night after an overdue aircraft was reported.
At first light this morning, the Fiji Maritime Rescue and Search Coordination Centre has sent a search and rescue flight out of Nadi to initiate aerial search of the last know position of an overdue aircraft.
It is understood the helicopter has three passengers onboard.
The Centre said a second flight team is on standby to deploy as coordinated efforts progress with search and response agencies to locate overdue aircraft.

Last night planning was underway with the Centre working closely with the Aeronautical Rescue Sub Centre and Fiji Police.
