A new cement mill will be constructed to replace its former glory in the capital city.
Digital transformation is also among changes proposed for Pacific Cement Limited.

The application period for a new chief executive officer at Pacific Cement closes tomorrow (March 25).
The company’s next leader must have a successful track record in a similar role in the construction and manufacturing industry.
With more than 10 years of experience, the incumbent must have “excellent leadership record in building and motivating teams,” in line with the values of its parent body Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL).
The new leader will have experience to transform and upgrade large scale manufacturing plants.
According to an advertisement by the Pacific Cement, the successful applicant must:
- change leadership,
- be commercially astute with market trends and strategic opportunities, and
- have a network that strengthen the company’s domestic and environmental export network.
As head of the day-to-day running of the integrated cement manufacturer which is a member of International Accreditation New Zealand, the new chief executive officer must turn the business around.
There is strong emphasis on strengthening shareholder values and returns.
“As a member of the group leadership team, delivering shareholders mandate on growth, integrity and impact contribution to FHL’s purpose, is an essential deliverable that must be met,” the advertisement for the chief executive officer’s job said.
The new chief executive is expected to raise the standard by taking business to the next level to introduce new ways of working.
