Pacific Polytech Celebrates 2000 plus Graduates

Since October 16, 2023, over 2,000 students have graduated from Pacific Polytech, earning national and micro qualifications across its campuses in Fiji.
During a ceremony on Wednesday at the Kshatriya Hall in Labasa, Pacific Polytech's founding director, Perri Taoi, announced the impressive figures.
"A total of 1574 students graduated with micro qualifications, while 878 earned national qualifications," he said.

"A third cohort of 700 students is set to graduate early next year."
Mr Taoi highlighted the institution's dedication to providing highquality, competency-based training that prepares graduates to be jobready and future-focused.
"We are actively developing new programmes in critical sectors such as business, agriculture, ICT, hospitality, life skills, healthcare, and engineering," he added.

The director emphasised Pacific Polytech's mission to steer youths away from societal challenges, including drugs, by equipping them with practical skills and meaningful opportunities.
"Our goal is to be a beacon of hope, offering young people a chance to build their lives with dignity, purpose, and ambition," Mr Taoi said.
"When you train a person with a skill, you give them not just a job but a future."
Chief guest, Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga, inspired the graduates with a message of perseverance and self-determination.
"True excellence only comes with perseverance," the minister said.
"Your success in life won't be determined by what's given to you or what happens to you, but by what you do with all that's given to you and all that happens to you."
He also commended the institution's leadership, faculty, and staff, along with the visionaries who established Pacific Polytech in 2021.
